Dementia Mate Wareware Action Plan initatives

Te Whatu Ora in partnership with Te Aka Whai Ora, is intending to seek suppliers to deliver the following three whānau centred service components relating to the objectives of the Dementia Mate Wareware Action Plan:

  1. Post-diagnostic supports for people with dementia mate wareware, their whānau and carers. Up to four initiatives are intended to be funded over four years.

  2. Dementia Navigators – to coordinate post diagnostic supports and work with people with dementia mate wareware, their whānau and carers. Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora intend to fund providers to employ and develop up to 16 Dementia Navigators throughout New Zealand.

  3. Innovative respite – development and delivery of innovative options for flexible and whānau centred respite for carers.

Research Acceleration Programme (RAP) Funding

The RAP is a contestable acceleration programme for very early-stage medical device and digital health technology projects working towards clinical application and commercialisation. 

RAP Stage I: Next submission deadline is Monday 27th March.
RAP Stage II: Next submission deadline is Monday 6th March.

Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Matakitenga Research Round

Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga (NPM) is New Zealand's Māori Centre of Research Excellence (CoRE).

The NPM Matakitenga research fund supports impactful research that contributes to their vision of building the foundations for flourishing Māori Futures.
